Laura Drew is a Career Coach and Education Coach. The primary focus of Laura's practice is assisting moms in career transition, helping students explore career paths for college, and community outreach through monthly workshops and teleclasses for jobseekers.

As a member of Career Directors International (www.careerdirectorsinternational.com), Laura serves as the Director of Education, overseeing educational course development for career professionals. Laura is also a judge for several international resume and career professional competitions, including the 2008 World's Best Resume Writer, the 2009 Career Innovator Award and the 2009 Toast of the Resume Industry (ToRI) Award. With her contributions to both the 2008 and 2009 Industry Mega-Trends Reports, Laura is considered an authority on Employment Discrimination and Compensation Trends in the workforce.

Because of her work within the industry and her continuing outreach programs within her community, Laura has been named Regional Career Expert for National Career Fairs (www.nationalcareerfairs.com), where her expertise will be put to work helping local jobseekers in the Raleigh, NC area.

As a former president of the NC Tourette Syndrome Association, she traveled the state as an advocate helping families and schools learn to compassionately deal with this disorder. In 2002, Laura began homeschooling her then 5th grade son.

With her experience in childcare, advocacy, and career coaching, as well as being a parent herself, Laura was asked to be the Education Expert for a new online parenting community. She writes monthly articles and host podcasts on a wide variety of education related topics for parents of all grades, from preschool through college. Laura resides in Holly Springs, NC with her husband, Burke and their son Rowan.
